    Please welcome three new additions to UAB Human Resources — Jane Doe, Human Resources Relations Representative II in Talent Performance & Relations; Katy Wayne, Human Resources Support Lead in the Human Resources Service Center; and John Doe, Human Resources Training & Operations Analyst in HR Information Systems.

    Jane brings extensive HR experience to the Talent Performance & Relations team. She previously served as the director of human resources for the City of Jasper, Alabama, where she led and developed departmental policies, oversaw key initiatives, and managed staff and organizational activities.

    She earned her bachelor's degree in general studies with a focus in psychology and her master’s in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Alabama. Jane is passionate about building positive workplace culture by supporting employee growth and partnering with leadership to drive organizational success.

    Outside of work, Jane is a foodie who enjoys cooking and is constantly seeking new dining experiences. She also enjoys fishing, traveling, and theatre.

    Prior to joining the HR Service Center, Katy was a case manager for Jones & Wallace Law Firm where she served as the advocate and point of contact for clients during every stage of their case. This included working with providers and insurers to coordinate medical care and negotiate outcomes that support the clients’ best interests.

    Katy earned her bachelor's in psychology from Southern New Hampshire and her master’s in human resources management from the University of South Alabama. She is excited to bring her passion for people, service, and community engagement to UAB.

    While away from work, Katy volunteers with The Junior League of Birmingham, supporting initiatives that strengthen the community and uplift women and children. She enjoys spending quality time with her gray tabby cat, Tom, learning to play Mahjong with her mom, and exploring Birmingham’s scenic nature trails.

    Before becoming HR Information System's newest team member, John worked for the Cobbs Allen Capital Holdings insurance company, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, policy development, and strengthening organizational security practices as an IT operations security administrator.

    John is a University of Alabama at Birmingham alum who earned his bachelor’s degree in information systems and his master’s degree in management information systems – cyber security management in 2018. During his time as a student, he worked on campus at TechConnect for three years, where he built a strong foundation in technical support and customer service.

    Outside of his career, John is a freelance artist who participates in local markets and festivals throughout the community.
